CORNISH GOTHIC

Cornish Gothic is an ongoing hybrid photography and textual interrogation of the Cornish landscape, exploring the region’s historical reputation as a gothic locale of perceived primitivism. Utilising 35mm analogue b&w film processing techniques, the series seeks to apply hauntological markers to the landscape to explore themes of Othering and ecological devastation. Monograph in progress as part of PhD.
